Bombshelter Press, 2005 136pp
The last publication by the distinguished Los Angeles writer and arts advocate.
- Stanley Josephs
- Stan Josephs began writing poetry and short fiction in 1991. He also served on the Board of Directors of Los Angeles Contemporary Exhibitions, and worked tirelessly for the arts. As a surgeon, he became one of the top diagnosticians in his field. In September 1998 he was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor, and passed away on June 4, 1999. His poems have been published in various literary journals and magazines. At the time of his death, he was working numerous short stories and a novel.
Stan Josephs captures with remarkable poetic skill his own inner life
as well as those characters who populate his poems, and he does this with language tempered to the spoken
voice, yet resonating with linguistic precision.
