Over to You:
An Exchange of Poems
Bombshelter Press, 1991 60pp
Twenty-six poems written singly and in collaboration by Los Angeles writers David Widup and Stellasue Lee. Widup is a poet and song writer whose work is characterized by a love of plain speech and a moving personal search for redemption. Lee is an artist whose work reflects the many lives she's lived, as a storyteller, poet, and professional athlete.
- David Widup
- is a gifted poet and song writer. What characterizes his work is a love of plain speech and a moving personal search for redemption. His work plunges us into an intensely physical world expressing the hopes, frustrations, doubts and desires of a man wholly sensitive to his surroundings. A fine, intimate perspective.
- Stellasue Lee
- Stellasue Lee's work is published in two books: a collection of four Los Angeles poets, After I Fall, and an exchange of poems with David Widup, Over To You (Bombshelter Press.) She is also poetry editor for Rattle, a literary magazine. In 1991, she was given an award by the Board of Library Commisioners and Mayor Tom Bradley for storytelling in the Los Angeles public libraries. She received her Ph.D from Honolulu University. Her work has been widely published. She was born in the year of the dragon.
